Literacy Curriculum

During reading and writing workshop time, Mehlville School District students learn through the use of Amplify CKLA, a literacy program based on the Science of Reading and Core Knowledge, combining content knowledge with skills instruction to develop readers, writers, and thinkers.  Students also participate in word study, shared reading and read alouds throughout their school day. Remedial reading services are available for students who quality for help with reading skills.

Math Curriculum

The Mehlville School District uses the Amplify Desmos Math Program. This program features a structured, problem-based approach that transforms curiosity into deep mathematical thinking. Through rich tasks and collaborative discussion, Amplify Desmos Math strategically develops both math fluency and a lasting, grade-level understanding of the standards.

Special Education

Mehlville School District partners with the Special School District to provide special education services. Our school can provide special education services, including speech therapy, occupational therapy and physical therapy. Adaptive physical education services, hearing/vision itinerant services and music therapy are also provided as indicated on an Individualized Education Plan. English Language Development

Our school offers English Language services for students who are learning English as a second language.
